Some more Betsy!  I forget how many of these I have.  I got them at an antique store for only .50 cents a page.  However, they are in a scrapbook, and the tape is showing through.  Also some of the edges have tears.  I really love the vegetable print dress in the June 1958 page.

magazine ad

Two post in one day! Well here's a single page magazine ad.  My mom took this out of a magazine from a doctors office when I was a kid.  (with permission of course)  The page scanned in a little see trhough.  The ad is for Heathertex, some sort of mix and match kids clothing brand.  1990s would be the date.

A bit of Betsy

July 1951

 January 1952

March 1952

December 1954
Here's a few pages of Betsy McCall from McCall's magazine.  I have more which I will post.  There's even an Easter one here! Still scanning in paper dolls.  Yesterday I scanned in my Lana Turner set and forgot to scan one of the dolls! Lucky I noticed before I put the doll away and scanned her in this morning.  I also keep finding little hats around my printer, but I usually remember what set they go to. I am working on a set that I started for OPDAG's Baby and Children.  So far I have six pages, two colored, they include three dolls.  I plan on doing 2 more pages, and then coloring the rest of the set.

Joan and Elaine

Here's Joan and Elaine, heavy 'wood' dolls.  I also have clothes for Edith and Patrica but do not have the dolls that go with them. I even had a dream about paper dolls, which probably means I've been scanning in sets too much.  I started coloring a set and plan on working on more projects.  Easter doll design is finished, she just needs to be colored.

I did a little research and this set is by Plat and Monk called Playtime dolls to cut out and dress The artist is Betty Sisson.

magazine paper dolls

Here are a few sets from Doll Reader (I think) from various years.  They are all double pages and by different artist.  I've been busy scanning and cataloging items.  Also started working on an Easter paper doll.
